Working draft

Terms of Service

Effective 16 May 2026. Tydra is a product of Drift Labs Limited (New Zealand company number TBC). These terms govern your use of Tydra at tydra.app and the connected product apps.

This document is a working draft pending legal review. Material terms (fees, refund policy, governing law) are accurate as stated; the framing and limits will firm up before any paid launch.

1. Acceptance

By signing up for or using Tydra, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you’re signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

2. The service

Tydra is a voice-first variation-capture tool for tradies. We transcribe audio, structure it into billable line items, and let you push the result to Xero or generate a customer-facing PDF. We may change, add, or remove features over time; we’ll give reasonable notice for material reductions.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for the accuracy of information you provide (business name on bills, GST number, customer details, labour rates).

You must be at least 18 and using Tydra for a legitimate trade or service business. We may suspend accounts that appear to be enrolled in violation of these terms.

4. Your data is yours

Voice recordings, transcripts, structured variations, customer details, jobs, and bills you create in Tydra belong to you. You retain all intellectual property in them.

You grant Tydra a limited licence to host, process, transcribe, structure, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

5. AI processing

Tydra uses third-party AI services to transcribe audio and structure transcripts into line items. Currently: OpenAI Whisper for transcription and OpenAI or Anthropic models for structuring. Audio and transcripts are sent to those providers briefly, processed, and returned. We use API tiers with terms that prohibit training on customer data.

AI output is a draft. You’re responsible for reviewing and confirming every variation before it’s saved or pushed to a customer bill or Xero invoice. We’re not liable for errors you sign off on.

6. Subscription & payment

Tydra is offered on monthly plans. Pricing is shown on /pricing and is in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise stated. GST may apply depending on your jurisdiction.

We bill the card you provide at the start of each billing period. You can cancel any time from your workspace settings — cancellation stops further billing; we don’t refund the remainder of the current period except as described below.

30-day money-back guarantee. If Tydra doesn’t pay for itself in your first 30 days, email us and we’ll refund your subscription fees for that period in full.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t use Tydra to break the law, infringe on someone’s rights, send unsolicited bulk email through our systems, attempt to gain unauthorised access, reverse-engineer the service, or run automated scraping against us. We can suspend accounts engaged in any of the above.

8. Third-party integrations

Tydra connects to Xero, Stripe, Resend, and Supabase among others. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We’re not responsible for outages, data loss, or billing decisions made by third parties — but we’ll do our reasonable best to surface clear errors when they happen.

9. Termination

You can cancel at any time. We can terminate your account on 30 days’ notice for any reason, or immediately for breach of these terms. On cancellation we retain your data for 30 days (in case you change your mind), then permanently delete it. Xero connections are revoked immediately on cancel.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and limit our total liability to fees you’ve paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited (e.g. consumer guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where they apply).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Disputes go to the courts of New Zealand. If you’re using Tydra outside New Zealand, this doesn’t override any local consumer protections you’d otherwise have.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Tydra after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
